Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American singer and musician is best known for her songs. She's the smallest woman and was the first person to be awarded an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka is the rising star in Indian sitar. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Her birthplace was in London in 1982. She began her life by hopping back and forth to London and New Delhi. As a teenager when her first performance in New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high school studies at Encinitas CA. Anouskha, who is only an teen, has enjoyed an impressive recording and performing career. She has been accompanying her father on stage for several years. The singer made Anourag her first solo album in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy nominated album Live at Carnegie Hall. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues as well, she has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't only limited to music. She released Bapi the Heart of My Life, in 2002. It is a biography which pays tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as the role of a Bharat Natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Her career continues to grow and she is expected to accomplish many amazing things in the near future. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent the majority of her early years in London and Delhi then moving to California in the state where she attended the high school. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75 Anoushka first made an appearance performing the sitar before the crowd of at the age of four, following her nine year old father. Alongside her father, his world tour, Anoushka was able to accumulate a variety of experience performing at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens, performing in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival, and also recording alongside George Harrison. As a tribute to her status as a leading musician of Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
